We love family, and enjoy hosting parties.
Robbie and his father, Archie, have had a long-standing tradition of hosting a Super Bowl party in Las Vegas.
The tradition began in 1994 with just Robbie and Archie, who wanted to watch the game as well as bet on it. So off to Las Vegas they flew and proposition bets they made, a trip to the liquor and grocery store completed their party at Archie's condo on the Strip. Robbie and Archie enjoyed it so much, they continued it the next year, and another guy or two joined. Thus, a tradition was born! Annual Guy's Trip to Las Vegas for Super Bowl! And no, they did not get matching "No Ma'am" t-shirts like Al Bundy. They did, however, have a great time gambling the night away!
When Pamela and Robbie began dating, it was made clear to her - this is a guy's trip to Las Vegas, and no girls allowed!
Once Pamela and Robbie moved to Las Vegas in 2005, Pamela graciously offered to let the boys continue their annual tradition. However, Robbie realized how much more fun could be had by moving it to his house and letting his wife handle the details.
In 2009, the Heugatters met Tanya - also known as Kitten, so Kitten has been pitching in to help host the party throughout the years since. Kitten is in charge of the annual half time photographs. This tradition began in 2012 when the party started getting bigger (but we're missing 2013 pictures - please send them if you've got them on your phones/cameras!). Pamela wanted a guest book, but felt a photographic guest book is much more fun than the traditional signatures which guests can avoid. Each year we get better at the Jell-O shots, and the party varies from basic fun to 48 hours of non-stop craziness. You have to be in drinking shape to handle the after parties!
